The parking lot at this establishment isn't large enough to accommodate a big rig.
Our filets were cooked perfectly and were delicious. It was our last night eating out on our trip and we were so glad we tried Butterfield Stage Co. Our waiter was wonderful and never made us feel rushed. Will definitely stop in again when passing through Holbrook.
Great food. The waitress was wonderful!
First class food and good service. The menu offers good choices including a small childrens menu. They offer a sharing option of a second plate with veggies and potato for $7 so you can split a large steak and still have a complete meal which is what we did. The porthouse steak we shared was huge, perfectly cooked and seasoned. Including 2 adult beverages and a shared dessert our tab came to a very reasonable $62.
Damn good food! One of the best dinners on our vacation!
OVERPRICED, TERRIBLE FOOD, SLOW SERVICEHusband got food poisoning from their ribs which had little meat, and was very tough to eat. It was like it had been frozen for quite some time, then given to a customer once before, and they didn't like it so they returned it. So they re-froze it to save money, and then given to us after being boiled and not cooked fully, then dipped in sauce to cover the awful taste. I had the burger since it was the cheapest item on the menu at about 15$, it was not terrible, but just okay. They were somehow out of mozzarella sticks which is 1 of only 3 app options which was disappointing. There was one other couple there at 8pm on a Friday which was odd. Not sure how this place is running in a town that's almost forgotten. Someone needs to do something about the Terrible food and slow service. Our food shouldn't have been cold when we were one of the only people there.
The food was really good and the menu was varied. The salad bar had a good variety of fresh vegetables, the cuts of meat were tender. There is a child's menu, and my mom was able to share a plate with her friend. But the best part of our experience was our server, Betty. She was sweet, friendly and conscientious. You can tell she cares about her customers. After a long week on the road, the fact that she stands out in our minds should say something about her superior service! She is a credit to this place of business!
45% of the prime rib was fat and the taste reminiscent of Jimmy Dean sausage, the french fries were under done, the green beans were acceptable, the saving grace was the rolls... prime rib should never be disappointing.
Very good place to eat, good food and good service. A little expensive. But it's a very nice place.
Looked quaint from the outside, went in and the place was freezing, no heat on but very cool old west decor. Waitress shuffled her feet everywhere she went and didnt know what beers they had and had to go ask. Ran out of different cuts of steak, steak came overcooked and barely warm. Ordered a steak and a cocktail for $48 and friend ordered a steak and a beer $42, highly overpriced! Good thing we are from out of town and won't be coming back.
Terrible service, terrible prices, cold mashed potatoes, paper thin tough steaks. Don't waste your time and money here. Bad place to go on a date.
Food was great and the service was also great!!! Was super surprised to find it open late on a Sunday night and after all day on the road we needed a great dinner!!! Thanks for being so awesome
Have been traveling cross country for 10 days now. We have eaten out every day. This by far was the best meal we have had. I had the New York steak with salad bar. The steak was so tender and cooked to perfection absolutely superb. Salad bar was fresh and delicious. The rolls were so soft, airy, hot and yummy. Waitress was very friendly and welcoming. Overall fantastic experience. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Worst meal I have ever paid for. The prime rib was all grisly
Great place to eat. Love the fell food is out of this world. Really great friendly atmosphere thank you butterfield .
This Steakhouse was decorated in a Western theme that made you think you were in a weekly tv show like Gunsmoke or the Rifleman. I had the Chicken fried steak with a white chicken gravy, my husband ate the Peppered steak, while our friends enjoyed the shrimp scampi and BBQ Chiicken. To say we liked it is an understatement we literally cleaned our plates. We enjoyed yummy desserts- to great margaritas everything was delicious. From a Jake our waiter to the chef a huge thank you for great food, fantastic service and a clean restaurant that had a wonderful theme with Jesse James and the Wild West!!
Food was fantastic! A little slow to get seated, but there were 11 of us (7 kids, 4 adults). Had the porterhouse, baby pork ribs, roasted chicken, and salad bar.Everything was great!
Overall, my experience was pretty average. It had a neat atmosphere and that's about all it had going for it. I ordered the porterhouse steak and split it with my brother but it came out cold and flavorless. I didn't expect that, especially since it was a 30$ steak. The bread rolls and the fries were alright so it still had a few redeeming qualities. Service was a little slow but there weren't very many people there anyway so it didn't really matter too much. It was pretty pricey for average food. If you're on a budget, I recommend you go somewhere else. If you want to check out a pretty neat environment and dont really care much for the price, give it a shot.
Steak was delicious. Attentive and cordial service. Reasonable portions
Cozy steakhouse with good drinks and great food, surprised there's a restaurant like this in Holbrook that's open
Very nice people
My wife and I love steak and have traveled many different places, we booked a room in Holbrook while on our travels and googled steak house and this place came up. Went with high expectations and came out very disappointed, my wife ended up with food poisoning. The overall price we paid was way out of control. I can eat at the black bear restaurant twice with my family of 4 and walk out overlly stuffed for the price I paid at this place. Very disappointed. Definitely would not recommend to anyone. Go to somewhere else
Recommended by Mona at the Globetrotter Lodge, which by the way if you stay there you get a 10% discount on your meal. This little gem is super cute, the staff is incredibly friendly and completely service oriented. And now for the food, hubby had the chicken fried steak, he practically liked the plate, definitely a good choice. I'm a vegetarian (at a steak house) and was so pleasantly surprised. I had the side salad with a baked potato and vegetables. The veggies were fresh and crisp, perfectly prepared and seasoned to be very tasty. Please stop by if you are in Holbrook, stay at the Globetrotter and eat here, you wont be sorry!
The steaks were great and the server attentive. We had the Sirloin, Prime Rib, and T-bone steak, they were all cooked to order and delicious! Baked potatoes were meh, but veggies were great. The pork ribs were not great, ended up sharing the steaks with the others. It’s pricey but the food is good. The decor is neat and has a great vibe. I would recommend.Oh and I forgot, not sure if they decided not to turn on the heater due to low attendance, but it was FREEZING. We didn’t take off our jackets and we were still cold. It would probably be nicer in the summer.
A little expensive but great food and great service. The lady who served us was very welcoming and such a sweetheart, just a pleasant person. They had the best of 80's and 90's country playing and it took me back to the good ol days, I loved it! My only complaint is that the plates for the salad bar were very inconveniently small and I wish they had a little more options on the salad bar. Besides that it's a cute country atmosphere, service was great, and food was delicious! Will go back again if I ever get the chance!
The food was great. Atmosphere old western. Server was wonderful
The food is very over priced for what you get. The atmosphere is kind of boring and slow, not many people here on a Friday night.
Rustic as the good old west.. Lots of character.. We had a steak dinner..Friendly staff great service..Folks,You got a try this place!
Service, cleanliness good, prime rib a little fatty and grisly but taste good
OVER PRICED $30 steak has $5 dollar value, keep on trucking, I just wasted $25 on my $35 ticket. Too bad the waitress couldn’t keep $20, I would of felt better.I’m head down the street to try again at getting dinner .- I feel robbed.(
The lighting was very dark, I think it's to set the mood. They were not fully stocked so a lot of items were unavailable. Food was decent. Not a lot of options in this area so I would recommend.
They only take cash, and some people weren't told until after they ordered. They were out of half the things on the menu, including most of the steak. I paid $20 for BBQ chicken breast, but what arrived might as well have been from the kids menu the portion was so small, not to mention it was rubbery and the fries were tasteless. The only reason I gave it two stars is because of the decor, and how nice the waitress was to me.
We order prime rib, 28.95. The baked potato was not completely cooked. The prime rib was approximately 45 % fat. Service was ok. We had dined here in the past and it was pretty good. Would not go back again. There was only one other couple eating at 6 PM on a Friday night, that should have been a clue. I would expect this place to go out of business soon.
For a steak house, their steaks are lacking. Very mediocre. The cook did well getting it cooked to specifications as far as rare to medium, but there wasn't a lot of flavor to the steaks themselves. The salad bar, rolls, veggies and potatoes were quite delicious, though! Apple pie for dessert was warm and had great flavor. The crust was good and not too doughy. The history of the stagestop is enough to stop here for and eat. The Butterfield Stage Company is a great piece of the "Old West" American history.
Trash. Pretty sure my “medium rare” prime rib was spoiled meat. The calamari is Van de Kamps fish sticks. The vegetable medley is clearly from the frozen food aisle. The only good thing about this restaurant is the premade rolls that they heat in the microwave.
Decent food good service. Enjoyable experience.
Great food! Excelent price/quality
I was disappointed in the salad bar. It’s just bagged items thrown in the bar. The porterhouse was $30 but it was definitely not worth it. You could tell the vegetable medley wasn’t made with fresh veggies. I was also pretty disappointed with the side choices. You only get the choice on your potatoes and you can pick fries, baked or mashed. Everyone gets the vegetable medley. That’s it. No other options. For a $30 meal I expected more than what I got. Our server was attentive though and the restaurant is clean.
You would think they would have great steaks and decent prices. Think again... Your best bet is going to Safeway across the street, and believe me, this really is the "$afeWay!!!"
Pretty nice restaurant in the middle of probably the most depressing town I'd been to in a long time. it reminded me of my town growing up hence the depressing feeling. But the steaks are great in my opinion I bit expensive for the type of locale and location. But overall a good experience.
Wow! The ribs and chicken fried steak were perfect but I have to say the chef seasoned the vegetables to perfection and I am usually not a fan of greens. Ok and I loved the western vibe with the folk songs in the background. Best part was the serivce:Page was friendly, attentive, and respectful of our privacy! Too bad we don't live close
Good steak, bit pricey though for the location. The place looks closed and shut from the outside but is actually really nice inside.
Good food, fair prices, great service and atmosphere.
Awesome food and service. Even stayed open a while longer for us to eat. Will be back.
The best steak..and best hot wings that you could order...the food was cook to perfection always. Albert us a great cook, never been disappointed. Jake did a great job getting my order out in a timely manner..
Touristy in my opinion. If it were more fairly priced, I would say it is a historic spot.
Good food. Awesome service. Good beer. The only down fall it was cold inside esp it being winter. And working outside all day in the cold. Kinda would like to have a delightful steak dinner with a fire plc to keep u warm. Althought it was a pleasant meal. And to read about the history behind Butterfield Stage Co. Steakhouse was capturing.
Good food, I like their salad bar because it's got really fresh ingredients. It tastes like if I cut up a bunch of toppings and threw it on fresh lettuce right at home. The steak was pretty good. Not the best I've ever had, but definitely fit the bill for a good steak.Oddly, my favorite thing about the place was the lack of locals! We live locally, and most restaurants we go to in this small town we see friends. That's great fun a lot of the time, but this place is, for some strange reason, devoid of locals. It was nice to "get away".
The steak tasted great! The music was great as well. Nice touch!
Terrific food & great service! My steak was cooked to perfection. The meal included rolls. A trip to the salad bar was an additional $2.50. The menu selections were pretty good and the food was reasonably priced. Definitely worth a try if you're ever in Holbrook, AZ.
